So while we were in Salt Lake it was HOT like 100 degrees hot I kid you not! So we were sure to get to the zoo as soon as it opened.
Daddy can make that ball roll!
Just hangin' out thinkin' about stuff.
Baby elephant
Silly gorilla kiddos. The picture is made out of legos.
Lego orangutan kids
Jaden the Gorilla!
These mist fans were in strategic areas of the zoo. So nice on this hot hot day.
This croc stayed perfectly still like this, I don't know if it was waiting for something to just land it his mouth or what.
lego monkys
lego penguins
These bat ear foxes were super cute. I was showing them to Bella and she goes "aww they're so cute, I want to pet one." . . .
and one comes running right up to the glass. It startled her at first but she was soo happy to "pet" the little fox. The other people watching were pretty amused as well.
can you see the bats clustered back there?
Carousel!
Olivia loved it and really giggled the first few times around. Then she was fascinated with looking at stuff as it whirled by.
Jaden was fascinated with this spider guy. He told us all about spiders and I even learned something new. Spiders are not poisonous they are venomous. Poison has to be eaten where venom gets in you through broken skin.
He also said hobo spiders aren't as venomous as we think and those that have had severe reactions to hobo bites were either bitten by reclous instead or are likely allergic to the hobo venom. So there ya go! Ya learn something new everyday!
Baby giraffe chilling in the shade.
lego polar bear.
These were fun polar bear statues
Oh no! It's eating Bella's foot!
nice fishy
Jaden is swimming underwater.
why yes that is a polar bear right by Jaden's head.
This cute little 10 month old monkey is sucking its thumb. Awww.
Near the end we were all crazy hot. Bella was too tired to walk and hitched a ride with Olivia.
We enjoyed the Hogle zoo, next time though lets try for not going in 100 degree weather. :)
