Butt Reunion

The kids had a great time playing with their cousins at the Butt reunion. Because Adele was in town with Jesse we even got to bring him along. They played hide and seek and all kinds of fun stuff with the other kids.

School prep

School Shopping with the older kiddos was great. We checked out Ross and Old Navy and of course Payless for some shoes. Subway for lunch and after all that hard work shopping a treat with Kiwi Loco! 

Back to school night was a bit crazy with so many students and parents there. After being welcomed and introduced to new teachers at the school in the gym we broke off to the classes. Jaden sped away with his friends to find his class while I made my way through the crowd with Bella and the little ones to Mrs. Dance class for Bella. We dropped off her school supplies and did a bit of paperwork, then worked our way back to Mrs. Rider's classroom where Jaden was chatting with his teacher and his friends. We dropped off his supplies and did some paperwork and discovered Dakota's desk right next to Jaden's. Funny thing, that was changed when he got to school. Smart teacher. ;)

They also had these cute photo backgrounds set up.

They can't wait to start school!

Wolf

I'm so proud of my Jaden. We worked extra hard this summer to make sure he earned his Wolf in cub scouts before his birthday. Way to go buddy!

Then we had some fun "olympic games" The kids all had a blast.

Activity Days

For the summer we combined our younger and older activity days. 

A senses activity- we had to identify items by touch then taste then smell then sound. I must say the girls were very good at this even without sight. We then wrote our names in braille using gems. It was super fun and a really great reminder to be grateful for all our senses.  

We decorated flip flops with balloons. super cool and were reminded to walk in Christs footsteps.

Pie in the Face Game

Jesse has been visiting with Adele and thought Grandma's Pie in the Face game would be fun. The kids thought it was hilarious! and Delicious!

Camp Out

With summer coming to an end the kids were begging to camp out in the backyard. So we got together with Jerry and Natalie and KayAnne, roasted some hot dogs and marshmallows then set up the tent.  Me and Lincoln stayed inside where it was soft and warm. :)

 In the morning I made everyone some hot chocolate to warm them up, though it really wasn't very cold.

August stuff

 First weekend in August was our Yancey Reunion. We headed up to Lava Hotsprings and had lunch then headed to the water park. While walking over Jaden got a bee caught in his flip flop and as you can guess it stung him right between the toes. After helping him hop around we realized the pool was WAY too crowded and instead we made our way back to Ross park and went to the water park there. It was a good choice and we had a great time. Jaden said the water felt good on his stung foot and was doing well. It was really fun.

However this is what the poor kids foot looked like the next day. Yikes! The whole foot was swollen. :( 

Why do we even have beds?

 it's so difficult to eat when you get the giggles. Can't remember what started it, but it was pretty darn funny.

 "Mom, do I look pretty with my lipstick?" Yes dear you are beautiful with your lipstick and backward inside out nightgown. :)

This girl has a small cavity. She was so brave and they had it fixed super quick!

 More horseback riding. Bareback this time. So brave!
