Cousin Time

Jeremy and Jessica came to visit during the 24th of July weekend. So they were here just in time to go to our stake picnic. Just look at those silly kiddos.

Yummy

Looks like Bella enjoyed the food throroughly

Jaden must be happy to see Jessica. Strangle Hug!

Looks like Jessica opted for the high-five option for Bella.
Bella doing the Virginia Reel with Grandma

They got to come play at our house for a bit. HUGS!
And a great group shot before going back home.
We love you Jeremy, Jessica, Brooklyn, & Blake! Come again soon!

Swim Lessons

I had my Jaden in swim lessons this summer. First with Russel, then when her moved he had them with Madox. Bella got to the point where she insisted on swimming too. So I took her for awhile. However when Celine was in town I was more than happy to let her watch the busy girl for me while I took pictures!

We got these pool rings for the kiddos to play with. The loved them.
There's Jaden with his teacher. Kick Kick!
When Jaden first started swim lessons he was terrified of the water. And he NEVER wanted to go under water. Look at him now!

More kicking! Yeah he's got it!

Bella never had a lick of fear of the water. I'm glad that she's not afraid, however I wish she'd show a tad bit of caution. What can I say she's a little fish like me.
 A cute one at that!
Swim fishy! She'll be sad that we'll be finishing swim lessons soon (I'm just too big for this) Next summer though they'll both be in swim lessons. Yay!

Camping at the Cabin

Ryan's boss was kind enough to let us camp up at their cabin again this year. Ryan brought up the 4-wheelers and we had a great old time.

Even Grandma and Grandpa tried out the 4-wheelers! Weee!
Jaden and his cousins all had so much fun on the 4-wheelers. So much so in fact that Lyle went and bought his family a couple shortly after this trip.
I however did not get to play on the 4-wheelers. Giant belly and weak ligaments make for a very uncomfortable ride. *sigh* maybe when this baby comes out I can play again.
A comfy seat with Aunt Marcia
Jaden's main task was well playing with the fire. He was diligent!
Whew hard work playing in the fire. :)
The next day we went out in the canoes.  It was raining and quite cold and wet, but we saw some great wildlife including a couple bald eagles. The kids were pretty well behaved despite the cold.

Thanks again to Jake for letting us borrow his cabin for the weekend. We had a blast, and frankly it was the only way I was going to get to go camping this year. :)

4th of July

Love the 4th or July. Here we are at our classic spot at the Yancey's
Grandpa Yancey told Bella she'd be safe from fireworks with this life jacket on.
A little instruction from daddy about lighting a fuse.
 And Jaden goes for it.
Jaden got this awesome Indy firework car. He was pretty upset that it ended up in the canal
In case fireworks weren't fun enough, there's always the pool. Bella enjoyed chilling with Jerry, Natalie & KayAnne

Again with her creative ways of getting out of pools
Jaden has a less relaxing idea mind. Duck and cover! Incoming Balloon!
After an epic water balloon fight (I cowered indoors like the chicken I am) It was time for MORE FIREWORKS!
KayAnne was a bit nervous with all the fireworks.

 Oh and don't forget FOOD!

Bella found a comfy spot on Grandma Potter. She'd sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star when the fireworks were lit. She'd sing it especially fast for the flowers. It was hilarious!

Clever Grandma Potter brought these glow sticks for the kiddos. Wands for the girls. . .
 Swords for the boys.

Ryan made this beautiful work of art. Umm I think he just wanted to finish off the box of sparklers.
We saw the plane A LOT. It was a dry season so it was probably watching for fires we guessed.

And the fireworks from Jensen's Grove

And becuase I thought the moon was lovely framed behind the trees. Here's that as well. :) Happy Independence Day.
