Hair Washing

Jaden's actually been doing this for awhile, this was just the first time I thought to grab the camera! In is desire to be independant he watches everything we do, especially things directly concerning him, and will mimic them. Here he is washin his hair. *don't worry, he's not actually getting any shampoo out he just pushes on the whole top cause that's what he thinks we do. I laugh every time.

You gave him WHAT right before bed?

Last night Jaden was having a hard time getting to sleep. Ryan thought he was starving cause he didn't eat much for dinner. So he got him up and gave him some marshmellows and put him back to bed thinking it was a nice safe thing to give him cause he can't really choke on them. Well this morning he had marshmellow all over in his hair on his face all over his hands (He kept holding them out to me to be washed while I was getting him up, he doesn't really like having sticky hands) I'm not really sure what happened, but clearly marshmellows before bed is not a good idea.

This second picture I added just cuase he's so funny. He was saying "hi" to my camera.

Birthday & Snow Fun

So my birthday isn't actually until tomorrow, but since our weekdays are pretty busy and I hardly get to see my hubby at all, we decided to celebrate in Blackfoot with our families. I got my presents Saturday:

I've had so much fun with them all already. You should have seen Ryan with all his "Is it okay? I tried to listen this year." LOL I tell him I'm always hinting at what I want. And yes, he did GREAT!

after that my parents took us out to eat at Malina's (Mmmm so yummy).
then over to Ryan's parents. Ryan's Sister-in-law's birthday was the day before so Ryan's mom made brownies and we had those and ice cream with Lyle's family, Jerry & Natalie, and Lynn's family. It was a fun get together!

I didn't get any pictures of all that, cause lets be honest, nobody cares. BUT we did get some pictures of Jaden playing in the snow Saturday!

Jaden's first sled ride. I had to hold him cause he couldn't figure out how to hold on and kept falling over which he didn't think was fun at all. Once I climbed in he thought it was great. Daddy pulled us all the way to gandma & grandpa great's!

Oh yeah building a snow man. Ryan made a giant of a snowman. I had to help him get the middle up and it still barely made it.

Jaden wasn't sure what to think of the cold weird looking dude that was even taller than Daddy.

He must not have made it very well cause it had fallen over before nightfall.

We had a great visit. It was hard to leave.

Walking with Dinosaurs

Last Saturday Jeremy got us tickets to Walking with Dinosaurs. It was so neat to see watch these giant creatures! I've always loved dinosaurs so it was pretty neat for me. We thought the loud noises might scare Jaden but all through the first half he pointed and growled with them. The second half he did get a little bored and daddy had to go with him around the back of the suite for a bit, but he never cried or got scared.

Don't tell, but Ryan managed to get a tiny snip of dino fighting on video.

The whole thing was great fun! It was fun to watch it with Jeremy, Jessica, and Brooklyn too!

A bit tropical in the winter

Look a these gorgeous flowers! They bloomed only for a few days, but it made me happy to have some tropical looking flowers blooming for us in the dead of winter.
