And He's Up!

Are you ready for more video? Sure you are! Well here's 3 more for ya. The swing one was from quite awhile ago, but the other two are fairly new.

Oh yes he can stand without holding on to anything. He now does it all the time. He's even taken a couple steps. Are we ready for this? NO! But it's kind of exciting anyway.

Play Ball!

Jaden has just figured out how to play catch. He's done it a lot since this. When he doesn't have anyone to play with he just chases his basketball around and around. We've lost at least one. Good thing Jeremy gave us 3 Thanks Jeremy you'll have to come play ball with him!

The Wrong Way

Jaden has found that he can flip over in his swing. He kept trying to grab the teddy bears. After this we put the swing away. I guess that means he's too big for it.

Where'd it go?

I often have had problems with not remembering where I've placed something. Not so much as forgetting, but more of not paying attention in the first place. I thought perhaps that was what was happening when things went missing or just not where I thought they should be, but it didn't take long before I found my little gremlin.

Jaden enjoys taking things and putting them in random places. He follows me around the house as I do my chores so things from one room can end up in another room entirely.

Example:
I found his desitin in the corner of my bedroom behind the laundry basket. (2 days after I first started looking for it)
His toy car has been pulled out of the computer garbage can
His mucus cleaner bulb thinky is under his playpen.
My bubble bath is in the front room.
His hair brush is down the front stairs(yup he LOVES throwing stuff over that gate)
Some newspaper adds he snuck from dad when he wasn't looking are now in the corner behind the couch.
There's a sock in the bathtub.
Another sock under the ceder chest in his room.
3 toys in the kitchen (yup he throws stuff over that gate too)
And the kicker...Last time we bathed Jaden we couldn't find his shampoo anywhere! Finally Ryan gave up and we opened a new one. I found it today in the laundry basket. I knew he liked taking the lid off but didn't realize he had been putting stuff in it!

That goof! At least I know I'm not going crazy, I just have a gremlin in the house! And yes we are all in a world of trouble when he can lift the lid of the toilet!

Weekend Home - Sunday

So all weekend I was trying to get pictures of the baby horses that frequent the field next to my parents house. Finally Sunday one came on over.

Cute little thing huh! I wish I could have gotten pictures of some of the others. Mom says there are 8 this year. If you want to see some more pics of them you can look here.

I got a little kildeer too! He was making quite a racket out in the field.

My mom and Jaden watching me take pictures.

Weekend Home - Saturday

Saturday

Ryan's parents invited some of the nearby relatives over for watermelon. Jaden was pretty cranky, but Ahna kept him entertained with her ladybugs.

Kenny & Jinyoung
The reason we were in Blackfoot! Ryan's best friend Kenny had his wedding reception. Here's the the lovely couple. Jinyoung is from Korea, where Kenny has been for the last good long while. They will be moving out to Maryland next month.

Jacob and Melissa
A couple of my favorite people. Jacob is also Ryan & Kenny's best friend from way back. Melissa will be having a baby boy in August! Yay!
I wish I had gotten a picture of Ryan & Kenny & Jacob together. They won't all be together again for a long time.
And of course Jaden had a great time playing in the grass and rose petals.

And then I put the camera down and got the petal out of his mouth.

It was a great reception and we had a great time!

Weekend Home - Friday

Friday
We took Jaden out to see the donkeys. He wasn't too sure about them and even got down right scared. I had never really seen him scared of anything, but they are pretty big!
Pup on the otherhand, Jaden was not even remotely afraid of. He chased him all around. Pup was so nice to him even when he tried to play with his tail!
A fun hose to play with!
Me and my baby. Not a great picture of me, but he looks so sweet with his thumb in his mouth.
Friday evening we went for a walk around the greenbelt.

Jaden was quite stylish sporting his too big for him hat.

9 Months already?

Can it really be true? My baby has been out of me as long as I was pregnant with him! Yay! It hardly seems like it. I thought I was pregnant forever, but then I can hardly remember life without my little guy. It's amazing what he can do now. He's the fastest crawler I've ever seen (the receptionist at his doctor agrees) He loves to laugh and talk and mimic and click his tounge. He wants to be where ever the most people are and tends to plop himself in the center of everybody, yup! Already an attention hog. He loves cheerios, and pretty much anything we give him. He's so very close to walking. Today he even took a step and a half! I can't believe how fast he's growing up! I love every day with him. He's the sunshine in my life.
Jaden is now 15lb. 12 oz (5%)
28 in. (45%)
Yup! He's tall and skinny. The doctor didn't have to ask why he's so skinny when she saw him zoom across the room.

We Can Play Together

Sunday we went to a BBQ with some friends. Jaden wanted to play with the other kids, but he's not quite sure how. Here he in playing with Gavin who is much older and bigger than he is. Jaden kept following him around and taking his toys away. My favorite was when Gavin finally took his toy and went over and sat by his mom. Jaden looked up at me like "What did I do?" It was funny. We were lucky Gavin was so good natured about all of it. I think Jaden will get the hang of sharing, he's still just a bit young.

A Horsey Ride with Daddy!

Daddy's Card

Jaden made Ryan a card for Father's Day. He was so surprised...or would have been had he not seen the pictures of him playing in the blue paint. The snoop ruins all my fun! =o)

The Making of Daddy's Card:

I put Jaden down so I could get some stuff to clean up. He got one of his spoons out of the dishwasher and was playing with it. I guess it's better than him sucking his blue thumb!

The cleaning up after the making of Daddy's card:
"Mom! Get that camera out of here I'm Naked!"
He had to bath in the kitchen sink cause there was no way I was going to take him over my carpet.
We had lots of fun making Daddy's Card. We love you Daddy!

Water Conservation Garden

Today Ryan, Jaden and I went to the Water Conservation Garden. They were having a festival, but mostly I wanted a chance to try and learn some of my settings outside.
I thought this turned out neat, the flowers aren't quite as in focas as I'd like them to be, but it was interesting how the sensors made the background look less saturated. This photo was not edited.

Ryan said this pic wouldn't work cause I was shooting too much into the light. I think it turned out pretty. Photography is a weird science I think.
Proof that I haven't quite figured out my macro settings.

Jaden got bored and decided to eat his tray on his stroller.

Oooo that's pretty!

Took us a hundred tries to get this stupid birdhouse on film. Way too much light shining down. Finally Ryan turned the shutter speed to crazy uber fast and Ta Da! There's a birdhouse!

Not a great picture but I thought the angle was kinda cool.

They had a free climbing wall for the festival and since mostly elderly were there we didn't even have to wait in line!

Ryan got farther than I did. All the way to the top! Way fast!

They had several booths set up. This was a science booth for kids, but since there were like 3 kids in the whole garden I jumped in. I made a bouncy ball!

Look! My bouncy ball! Pretty cool huh?

My favorite pic. Yay! I got one that was crisp and clear. May not look so on my upload, but trust me, I did good on this one. =o)

Busy Weekend Home!

We had a busy weekend this past trip home. A reunion, a baby shower, and a funeral all on the same day!

The reunion was with Ryan's family, they had a potluck out on the island (their orchard surrounded by canals). They were going to go fishing since it was free fishing day but the rough winter had killed all the fish so instead they played a fishing game. Jaden caught some sqeaky toy fish that he likes to play with in the bath tub! Also, since their anual Easter egg hunt didn't happen this year due to Easter being in March and freezing cold, they had their Easter egg hunt as well. Jaden was quite happy after finding just one egg and enjoyed shaking it. Ryan enjoyed eating the starbursts that were in the egg. No pictures though =o( I sadly was not able to go since it was at the same time as Sara's baby shower!

Although only around 6 months due, I decided to throw her a baby shower early since she's moving to Montana. =o( It was great fun! She had lots of friends and family come from all over and our little basement was packed full of love and estrogen! We played guess how many mints are in the bottle, baby stuff memory, and guess how big Sara is! =o) Too much fun! She got lots of cute stuff for the little guy. What a lucky little guy he'll be! Love you Sara and baby!

Snagged this pic from Sara's Blog. I sadly left my brand new camera at home. GRRR.

The funeral was for my aunt Pat. She has had cancer for awhile now and has been fighting it as hard as she could. The past few months she had gotten really bad and it was time to go. There was a whole bunch of family that came. It was so good to see all of you. I wish it had been under happier circumstances but we had fun none the less.

Enjoy heaven Pat! We'll see ya there.

Horsey Ride

Ryan's dad made this beautiful rocking horse for Jaden, then my mom painted it for him. It's such a great gift from both sides of the family, I know he'll cherish it forever! Thanks Mom and Clem! What talented people you are!

Too Much Fun!

We had lots of family and friends in town for Brooklyn's Baby Blessing Today.
Yay we finally got a picture with Jaden and Great Grandma Potter! How cute!
...and one with Brooklyn too!

Jaden was curious about Marshall and Lori's Baby Shaylee. I was afraid he would go up and try to gouge her eyes but he was pretty happy just holding her hand. Aww how cute!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

Friday we went to see the Salt Lake Bees play. We were there with Jeremy and my mom and dad and Cory.

(Yay for my new camera. this was taken at 12x zoom)
Jaden with Bumble! He wasn't quite sure what what to think about being so close to a giant bee!

The Bees won and even hit a grand slam and we all went to Scone Cutter and got some free scones out of the deal! Yeah Bees!

Chop Chop!

I had had quite enough of Jaden pulling my hair and always having it back in a ponystail. I had it much longer before but a few weeks ago got it cut to this length.
It was not even close to enough so I got it cut to this length:
Never in my life have I had hair so short. I'm not certain on the style, but I like it that short, so easy and no more getting my hair pulled!
