First snow of the season!

Bella is TWO today! Happy birthday to my not so baby girl!!! We're actually celebrating tomorrow since Daddy is still out of town. We did have a great lunch just the two of us at McDonalds and she got to pick out a present all by herself at the dollar store and a balloon. We had a great time!

Bella has decided she can change her own diapers, including wiping her own bum and she does so without telling me. Sounds good, but just think of ALL the things that can go wrong. . . . yup. *sigh*

Jaden kept going on about His Jake this and His Jake that. I asked him, "Who is YOUR Jake?" "Sometimes you mom and sometimes grandma Yancey."  "What?" I asked baffled. "My Boss." Ah now I get it. Jake is the name of Ryan's boss. The kid's mind is a bit quicker than mine. :)

A Raccoon got my rabbit the other day. :( we've had her longer than my children and I'm pretty sad. Jaden had a good idea though. He said "When Daddy and Grandpa bury Clover they can put bunny seeds in too and then it'll grow a NEW Clover." Then Sadly Daddy had to explain why that wouldn't work. Bummer.

Somewhere between Breakfast and now Bella has LOST HER BLANKIE! AHHHH!!! She will accept no substitutes and I cannot find that dang blanket anywhere!

 Right before naptime and I begged Jaden to find Bella's Blankie. He went right to the couch upstairs and pulled it out from behind the couch where it had been shoved. "Jaden, did you hide Bella's blankie there?" "No Bella did it." Yeah too grateful to argue. go nap girl child!

Had a super great time at the Haunted Mill with Travis & Ashley Moulton last night. Sorry hubby but I still think the best part was when the guy snuck up behind you and actually made you scream. So good.Though the scariest part may have been when Travis found a real snake at Ashley's parent's house and was actually carrying it around by it's tail.

Took pictures of my kiddos in their costumes today (it's Jaden's pre-school Halloween party so I figured if he's dressed up anyway. . . ) Bella was the saddest black kitty I think you'll ever find. Poor thing has a pretty bad cold. :(

2!! Bella's Birthday!

My Baby girl is now the big and terrible 2! 2 is a complicated age. On the one hand it is the cutest you will ever be, sure you had your moments before and you will after, but 2 is some serious concentrated cuteness. On the other hand you have deemed everything yours and even if you know it is not yours you WILL take it for no other reason than to make your brother angry. The fighting is unceasing between the two. I want to pull my hair out! This is why you are so darn cute, it is a defense mechanism and likely your only saving grace you adorable whiney child you. 

Bella is now 32 1/2 in. tall  &  23lbs 8 oz

Favorites:

Food: Almost anything though sandwiches must be eaten torn apart and I am no longer allowed to cut her food, she insists on cutting it herself, nevermind that I still cut Jaden's.

Song: Bella sings Twinkle Twinkle, Itsy Bitsy Spider, ABC, and Happy Birthday to You  on a pretty regular basis. She will also sing Rock a Bye Baby if she is rocking a doll or stuffed animal

Toy: Well there's Blankie, her purple blanket her aunt Valerie made her that she simply cannot be separated from, she loves playing with Jaden's cars and the magnadoodle as well. After she got her backpack for her birthday she loves toting things around in that as well.

Things to Do: She loves to color and draw, Loves anything that buckles or zips, Loves riding on the 4-wheeler, Swing, and doing whatever Daddy and Jaden are doing.

Show: Strawberry Shortcake (Sh Cake), Blues Clues (Boos Coos), Elmo's World (Elmo), Dora the Explorer (Dowa), Pingue (Ing Ing), & Care Bears (Bear)  Yes she watches way more TV than I ever let Jaden watch at this age. Doh.

Bella's Strawberry Shortcake Cake. Not to be confused with regular strawberry shortcake, although the cake is strawberry. Do not tell but I decorated the cake with Raspberries, and did you know that raspberries taste divine with frosting? 

 Presents!!

Bella got a Dora Guitar and some super adorable clothes from Grandma & Grandpa Potter and Cory. An electronic story read along turtle thing from Grandma & Grandpa Yancey. An Elmo Backpack, necklaces & bracelets, and some books from Mom Dad & Jaden. 

Happy Birthday my sweet Bella. I love you always!

Sept. Ends and Fall really Begins!

 October is here. Time to get out Halloween stuff! Yay!

Ooo Scary!

 Jaden now has a chore chart and gets an allowance. He's been doing great!

 Preschool is in full swing and that means more wonderful fun projects from Jaden!

 This sunset was too pretty to pass up. 

 So the past week Bella has been climbing out of crib constantly. Daddy decided that mean big girl bed time for her! We're still having a few power struggles but  she does like her big bed! and oh does she look so little tucked into this big bed. *sigh*

 Back to the doc for her 2 yr check up. She just LOVES watching the waterfall.

 And of course playing with the toys there. Sadly I think she remembers her last visit, she was happy as can be until we stepped into this room. Then she started crying and ran right back out. She wasn't terribly cooperative with the nurse, but all went well and she is one healthy little girl!

Jaden's preschool took a fun field trip to the Yancey apple orchard!

All the kids paying super close attention as Janice Yancey tells them all about apples.

 Then it was time to go out and get some apples themselves!

 The little tag along girls sit comfy in the stroller eating their apples.

 . . . or not so comfy.

 Snack time!! What else but the yummy apples they picked! Mrs. Moulton even brought yummy fruit dip and carmel sauce for some added yumminess.

 Then it was time for some fun and games. Of course "duck duck goose" was on the agenda, with a little help from our little friends. 

 Bella loved watching the kids play "Red Light, Green Light", almost as much as she liked pretending to be the light caller.

The kids all had a great time! I'm glad I got to tag along. 

Apples Apples

You know what September means. . . or do you you? Well around here it means APPLES! and LOTS of 'em!

Applesauce Party!!

We made somewhere around 106 quarts I think between all of us. (only the first couple batches shown here) We did applesauce and pie filling.

So is it good? Oh yeah! Here's Bella licking the leftovers of her fresh applesauce snack off of her cheek. Hee.
