New Years Eve!

Clearly Ryan has been home too long, because he's getting restless and causing me havoc. He decided to take down the crib, Lincoln isn't even 2 yet. :( To be fair, the crib is broken and kind of lopsided, and Lincoln rocks it into the wall to tell us he's awake making lovely gouges in the wall, but still I'm not ready and protested the whole time. 

 Of course Lincoln loves the car bed! Grandpa Potter made if for Jaden when he was younger but Jaden was happy to pass it on to a true Cars fan, and believe me Lincoln is the BIGGEST CARS fan! So indeed he does love the bed.

 Jaden was ok with his "new" bed as well,  

Since then Lincoln has had trouble staying in bed. Shocking right? He keeps getting up in the middle of the night and going down to get in Jaden's bed with him. Goofy kid. We put a gate in front of his door so hopefully this won't be a problem anymore. Also I'm still under protest. Thinking of making picket signs.

Back to New Years Eve. 

Jerry Natalie and KayAnne came over and we had some yummy pizza then some more Smash Brothers and Nintendo Land. The adults played Bonanza for a bit then joined the kiddos. 

 After a bit Grandma and Grandpa Potter joined us as well. 

Natalie brought fun hats, necklaces, and horns for all the kids. . . yay.

Thanks to Netflix it's party and count down time whenever we want, and off to bed!

After the kiddos were to bed we played Rook with my parents. It's been so much fun playing games together these past two days. 

Though 2016 was full of political unrest and tragic celebrity deaths, for Ryan and I we had a great year! We had health and fun and love. Here's to more of that in 2017!

Pre New Years

It's been awhile since we did New Years with Lyle's family. After all our family doesn't quite make it officially to the new year as the kids are often in bed before 10 for the safety of all. So we were pleasantly surprised when Lyle called us up for a Pre New Year party. His family and Jerry and Natalie's family came over for some fun Smash Bros. We then put the littles to bed and played some fun Liers Dice. It was great fun and you know those kiddos love their older cousins!

SNOW

We haven't gotten this much snow in YEARS!

Lincoln was upset that he couldn't walk through the snow.

I had to go rescue him while dad rescued the 4-wheeler from the same problem. :) Both cheered up once the got on the road and were ready to ride!

These guys were pretty excited too. They all had a great time!

 I went back inside to enjoy my view from the basement window. 

Christmas Again!

Since Christmas was on a Sunday this year we had to work out some timing. With church at 10:30 we figured if we got everyone ready early we would have time to enjoy Christmas morning at Grandma and Grandpa Potters. However on the way over as we were drift busting in our minivan, Ryan got a call that the stake president cancelled church do to snow and drifting. Luckily we made it over to my parents ok though snow continued to fall. 

Well we're all dressed up and looking good anyhow. :)

Time to pass out presents! Celine and the kiddos had the pleasure.

 Clearly everyone has been very good, lets open those presents!

 Now Grandpa has a hat to finish off his slow cowboy transformation. After all, you can't ride horses without a cowboy hat right?

  Bella and Olivia got darling dolls with a bunch of clothes from Grandma. Bella was a bit bummed at first because she didn't think she liked dolls, but she sure warmed up to it and now she loves it. :)

 A plane for Lincoln? Heck yeah!

Grandma got Jaden a Minecraft case with a bunch of little figures. He was pretty excited about it, can you tell?

 Grandma made Lincoln a counting book and when you use the 3D glasses it look pretty darn awesome.

How many adorable faces can Lincoln make in 5 seconds?

 We headed back home for a bit to get the turkey going and nap the little guy. I told him it was nap time and he ran to Olivia's bed. Goof ball. 

These dolls know the right teams to root for!

 The matching outfits turned out adorable. 

We headed back to Potter's for Christmas dinner. The turkeys were smoked to perfection and everything was delicious! Larry and Kathy, and Shawna and Brecken joined us along with Grandma Great and Russ, Aileen, and Celine. 

After those mentioned left Me,Ryan, Grandpa, Cory, and Jaden played Jaden's new game Exploding Kittens. It was pretty funny. 

Luckily by bed time the snow had cleared and the roads were manageable. I love Christmas and spending time with family. I was a little sad to postpone the church Christmas program, but look forward to continuing the Christmas spirit into the new year. Merry Christmas Everyone!
