wrapping up November with a few words. . . .

10-18-13
My poor guy. On the way to school today he was running and fell in the road. He got up screaming and crying and continued on to school where my neighbor was waiting for the bus with her boy and she brought him home. He had the biggest goose egg I'd ever seen. I wish I had gotten a picture. I cleaned him up put a band aid on and asked him if he wanted to go back to school. He said he did so he sucked up the tears and I took him to school. His class all gathered around and he told them what happened while I told the teacher. Fortunately he likes the attention and isn't embarrassed by it so I think he'll stick out the day as long as he doesn't hurt too bad. When I told his teacher he wanted to come to school he said "Yeah I just want to learn." :) love that brave boy.

11-6-13
Getting ready to leave for preschool this morning and Bella puts her coat on backwards and her backpack on her front. When I looked at her funny she said "I just wanted to shake things up today." That girl sure cracks me up.

11-7-13
ressafressa sassa frass. Hubby has to stay over the weekend in Florida. He asked me if I wanted to come spend the weekend with him. YEAH I WOULD, but no it's the primary program Sunday. Pretty much the ONLY day that me as the Primary chorister HAS to be there. Stupid timing. Looks like a lonely weekend for both of us

11-9-13
While searching for the third remote so the kiddos and I could play Smash Bros. Jaden says "A soldier never gives up!" in the most military voice a six year old can muster. Has he been playing too much toy soldiers on the xbox? clearly, but when I gave him the mission to put his laundry away and clean up the family room he responded with "Yes Sir!" Oh yes I could get used to this.

11-11-13
Bella got up this morning and said. "Well that night was awful." It sure was too. poor girl got sick last night. Now I'm in the dreaded wait to see if it was a one night thing or if she got a flu bug that is going to infect us all. (realizing I never made it back to the doctors office for flu shots. Doh!!)

11-11-13
Bella: I want to shower with Jaden
Me: I know, but we talked about this, you're both getting too big and Jaden needs privacy when he is naked.
Bella: Oh yeah that's because I hate his bum bum
Yes of course that's why.

11-29-13
Got Christmas put up today. As Bella's getting ready for bed she says "I hope Santa comes while I sleep tonight." Ummm not yet dear.

Thanksgiving

I love Thanksgiving. A great chance to get together with family and eat WAY too much. We are so fortunate to have both our families in the same town (that happens when you marry your high school sweet heart. :) ) So we end up doing 2 Thanksgivings.
Here we are at the Yancey's Oh yeah, these kiddos are so ready to eat.

Yummy pie. And uncle Jerry kept giving her whipped cream. This was one happy baby girl.

I forgot to take pictures at my parents, but we had a great time there as well with my parents, Cory, and my Grandma. After our second dinner I got to watch the 50th anniversary episode of Doctor Who. Oh yeah good stuff.

That weekend we also went over the Chris's house to play games. Something we don't get to do near as often as we like.

It was a fantastic Thanksgiving and I am always thankful for my great family and with all the many things I am thankful for this year, I am especially grateful for my health.

Must be Mo-vember

My little Indian with her "bead" necklace. A necklace that Olivia was very angry that Bella wouldn't let her eat.
Some fun fall  stuff. Jaden's pumpkin story, leaves, macaroni skeleton, haunted house, reading certificate, and Bella's dance sticker chart and feather.
The first week of November Jaden brought home a booklet with all the books that would be at the book fair. He showed me two books he wanted. Pete the cat and his Groovy buttons, and Fly Guy and Frankenfly. At parent teacher conference I looked at these books and thought about getting them, but had recently ordered some other books so chose not to. That same week we were asked to keep track of our reading minutes. Jaden read almost 10 minutes a day. At the end of the week Jaden came home with this certificate and a bag full of good stuff. He said he had earned $20 for the book fair by reading every night. He was able to get both books he wanted and a fun pen and eraser. I'm glad I chose not to get them for him, he was so excited knowing he had earned them himself.
Ready for the cold weather. Good thing too cause Bella still wants us to ride bikes to preschool.
50s day for the 50th day of school. They dressed up like kids from the 50's and learned all about that decade. Jaden even wrote a book about how to make root beer floats. Yummy. He also posed like this all on his own. Oh yeah he totally knows how this picture thing works. Love that kid!
Jaden's candy mustache he got from his primary teacher for Mo-vember  Looks quite dashing doesn't he?

More artwork and school work.

I guess she's saving that piece of rice for later. At lease she's pretty darn happy about it. Too much cute!

Jaden got to go to Pace's Ninjago themed birthday party. Jaden is 3rd from the left on the bottom. :)
