4th of July weekend

We went to Idaho for the 4th of July weekend. Ryan's family had a family reunion/campout in their orchard on the 3rd. All of his family was there except Debbie. It was a lot of fun!
Jaden enjoyed Chillaxin in the camp chairs with cousins Ben and Anha. I enjoyed not having to chase him around all over!

Jaden found the fire absolutely fascinating. He would tell us "hot" and never get any closer than that but he watched all the other kids throw sticks (and anything else they could get a hold of) into the fire.

Jaden also liked it when we had smores. When no one was looking he grabbed the bag of marshmellows shoved one in his mouth, grabbed two handfuls, and ran away before we could take them away. Mmmm marshmellows.

We didn't camp out (too many bathroom trips for me) but we sure enjoyed the camping atmosphere and spending time with Ryan's family.

4th of July evening we were back over at Ryan's parents to set off fireworks!

At first Jaden was a little nervous, but he liked having Daddy hold him while lit the fireworks. Always has to be part of the action. His favorite was the water dynamite. Ryan would lite them and throw them in the canal. They'd make a muted "pop" sound and Jaden would instantly imitate it with a smile.

When the serious fireworks came out Jaden loved pointing them out in the sky. With and apropriate "ooo" or "woah"
