Father's day(s)

We did Father's day Saturday AND Sunday because our present for Daddy was that he could be a couch potato! He got to play what he wanted, eat what he wanted and watch what he wanted. We knew that Sunday wouldn't be the best day for this so Saturday was his day!

Jaden is crying because his X box controller is in there and it's still on. Hee.

Sunday Daddy hit the jackpot again. He got candy from the ward and a bag of candy from each child from the primary. They also made these cute all about my Dad sheets:

Pretty smart kiddos. Daddy was impressed. Oddly I didn't get a picture of Daddy on his day. Note to self, get a good picture of Daddy.

We also made some cute shirts and ties out of envelopes that had a Hershey bar inside that said "Grandpa's have the right to spoil whomever they choose and be spoiled themselves." We gave them to Grandpa Yancey and Grandpa Potter.

Love all you Dads!!!!

Jumpin' June

We've been having a good month. Lots of outdoor fun (which I haven't got pictures of because I was having too much fun) but here's a few things we've been up to.

Poor Olivia can hear the kiddos playing outside. She wants out too, C'mon Mom please?

Summer nap with Minnie Mouse

This is the cuteness I wake up to in the morning. Oh yes, be jealous.

The kiddos went to a free music class. They play the auto harp

Olivia was enjoying the music too. She kept dancing and singing in her stroller.
 March to the beat

Echo her puppet friend. Olivia really liked this part.

I signed the kiddos up for the summer reading program. They are doing the story time in the park, earning prizes by reading, and get to go to the fun activity days. Here they got to decorate a cup and plant some seeds.

More Soccer

Here's some more soccer awesomeness for you!

Don't really know what we're doing here, but boy nellie these boys are ready for it.
 Go Jaden Go!
There's a super cute little spectator
Jaden's a race car soccer player.

My favorite pic. Pretty cool goal!

There's another cute spectator, even if she's not really watching.

Fishing!

Ryan and Grandpa Yancey took the kiddos on a fishing trip to Rose Pond on free fishing day. They even caught a couple and we had them for dinner. Bella loved eating the fish! And of course they both enjoyed catching them.

First Soccer game

Here's my big soccer player! Does he look a little grumpy? He actually fell asleep and we woke him up to get ready for his game and he was not happy about it.

Once at the game he cheered up though.
The kids got a little confused about which way was which, but either way they kept right on playing.

This is the pose Bella gave me when she saw I was taking a picture of her.

you can hear Olivia crying in the background. Poor thing rubbed sunscreen in her eyes. I think next time we'll just take a hat and keep her facing away from the sun.
It was a great game!
Can't wait for next week. Fun fun!

Yabba Jabba

5-5-13
Ryan asked Bella if the microwave made things hot or cold.
"I don't know, maybe cold?"
Ryan tried a few other approaches with no success, finally he concluded, "That's right reasoning doesn't work well with you, you're our emotional child huh?"
So I asked "Bella does the microwave make you FEEL hot or cold?"
"Hot"
"Does the fridge make you FEEL hot or cold?"
"Cold"
So now all we have to do is remember to speak her language. She's so opposite from Jaden it's like learning to be a parent all over again.

5-10-13
Ack I'm having the hardest time with my little mover. Not only can she crawl at the speed of a cheetah, she also pulls herself up on EVERYTHING. Okay third child and all so I'm used to this, but her pulling herself up is a quite a bit early (she's 7 months) so once she gets up she has a hard time keeping control. She falls constantly. After she bonked her nose real hard on the bench in the kitchen today I finally got out the port o crib so I could contain her. I just can't baby proof EVERYTHING in my house. Sheesh. Anyway just venting.

5-21-13
Really enjoyed going to the Zoo with Jaden's class today. I was super worried when I heard that 12 schools would be at the zoo today. Yikes, but thanks to so many parent volunteers I only had Jaden and another little girl to keep track of. The teenagers were very nice and let the little ones up front to see and one even gave Jaden some food to feed the goats that he had bought. It was so much fun and I am still feeling happy that I got the chance to spend the morning with my favorite boy. :)

5-22-13
At lunch I usually ask Jaden what his favorite part of school was that day. Since he had no school today he got to come do yoga with me and grandma. So at lunch I asked him his favorite part of the day and he said playing tag with me and Bella and Grandma. :) Now THAT'S exercise.

5-27-13
Had a great time at Craters of the Moon. Jaden LOVED the caves, he was amazing and never needed help. He chattered a mile a minute cause he was having so much fun. And talked to everyone we saw. After going to all the caves he wanted to go back and do some more again. Too bad the girls were so tired. I guess we may have to go again next year. <3 p="">Bella spent half the time scared that lava was going to get her and the other half wishing the volcano would warm her up.

5-30-13
Jaden's last day of kindergarten was today. I feel like crying. He really loved it and told me he is going to miss is teacher and bus driver so much! Mrs. Stuart was the best. I'll come to terms with my boy starting elementary school later, for now let the summer fun begin!!

5-31-13
Jaden's wonderful teacher sent home a DVD with a slideshow of pics throughout the school year. Jaden loved it and I got teary. What a fun year he had!

5-31-13
So about 10 minutes before Jaden and Ryan were going to leave for their father son camp out Jaden threw up. Well that kinda ruined everyone's plans. Poor boy is super sad to miss it. He's been looking forward to it for 2 weeks. I told Bella we could still get McDonald's and watch a princess movie. She was starting to cry too. :(

School's Out!

It's true! My Jaden has finished kindergarten. He loved it and says he will miss his teacher a lot. She did a great job. Jaden had a wonderful experience his first year of school. I gotta say I enjoyed it too. Don't know what to do with him all summer, then when school comes back he'll be gone much longer and I'll miss him. *sigh*

They had a fun carnival day and got to play with bubbles, get their face painted, eat popcorn and pizza, watch a movie Way fun!
Wait how many babies do I have?
How the kids keep Olivia entertained, or perhaps vice versa

Gave this one a piece of watermelon to finish off her meal. Yummy! She loved chewing on it.

How to not get put in your crib: by Olivia
See if you fuss when you are tired the mommy will put you in the crib. The crib is bad. It's really a nice word for prison. You get trapped there until the Mommy decides you can get out. So try this instead. When you get tired find a soft place and lay down there. Go to sleep there and the Mommy will leave you alone. Then if you are lucky you will wake up and the Mommy will be upstairs for a minute and you can hurry and get into the magical treasure chest called "the gar-bage" that the Mommy and Daddy never let you play with. Try it! It's worked for me a few times now!

I love when the kiddos play together. Olivia is very social and although it sometimes drives them nuts, she LOVES to be right with her brother and sister to see what they're doing.

This is how we watch TV together.

Ready to play! Which guy am I again?
And yes she does have a crash and burn mark on her nose the poor thing. Not 100% sure how she got it, but I'm sure it had something to do with a bad sunburn mixed with multiple face plants that happen when her body moves faster than her arms and legs. No mother of the year award for me this time around.
