What young things say.

3-31-15
After riding the bus at preschool Bella said she wants to be a bus driver. After asking why she explained that the bus driver is the only one on the bus with a seat belt.

4-6-15
Olivia was hopping around going ribbit ribbit. "Mom, I'm a dog."
"You mean a frog?"
"No Mom a DOG!!"
"Dogs go ruff ruff, frogs go ribbit ribbit."
"Oh Yeah, I forgot."
:)

4-7-15
Bella asked me, if Jesus was resurrected on Easter how come Grandpa Great wasn't. I told her Grandpa Great will be resurrected when Jesus comes back to Earth again. Bella was very disappointed.

4-7-15
Bella: Heaven is a planet.
Me: you think so?
Bella: Yeah cause planets are the only places you can live in outer space.

4-9-15
While getting out of the shower this morning I overheard Bella "parenting" Olivia.  "Olivia you are too big for Lincoln's swing! I don't want to yell at you so just get out the first time I ask!" A few seconds later. "Olivia, I'm not mad at you, I just want you to Choose the Right so we can all be happy." A little later they were playing again. It appears Bella does listen when I discipline her, she just doesn't comply so well at the time.

4-10-15
Overheard this conversation:
Bella: It's true Trinity said!
(read this in your most matter-of-fact voice)
Jaden: Bella, Trinity is not Jeremy, she doesn't know everything.

4-16-15
Olivia: ahh it's a ghost.
Me: ahh a ghost? I'm so scared
O: it's okay mom.
Me: it is? But ghosts are scary.
O: it's okay mom. It loves you.
Me: oh okay that's a nice ghost.
O: no it's SCARY!
Clearly one of us must be afraid of the ghost at all times, but only one of us.

7-30-15
Jaden: That's not fair!
Me: Life isn't fair it's only fairer than death.
(That look that my kids always give me from 4 year olds on.)
Jaden: Mom, that doesn't help at all.

LOL he's right it really didn't.

The other day I thought I was going crazy. I often do things in automatic mode because I have children talking to me, or I'm hurrying because I often seem to be in a hurry and laundry is one of those things. SO I go to change the laundry and what I was certain I had put in the dryer was in the washer and the clothes from the washer were in the basket, so now both loads are wet. shaking my head I fix this then later I go down and again the laundry I thought I was going to go put away was sitting in the closed washer. After wondering what was wrong with me Olivia comes up and I ask her if she has been helping mommy with the laundry. "Yeah!" she states very excitedly! Oh thank heavens I'm not crazy! and can totally make this work to my benefit ;)

8-15-15
Olivia: Mom can I go outside?
Me: Yes if you can get one of the kids to go with you, you can't go out alone.
Olivia yelling down the stairs in her cute 2 yr. old voice: Jaden, Bella, Mom says you have to go outside. . . . . RIGHT NOW. . . . . OR I SPANK YOUR BUM!

I think she took a few liberties with my instructions, but she is outside now. :)

8-17-15
Trading out all the kids clothes getting ready for school and for the first time I cried doing it wishing I had taken more pictures of Olivia in her darling clothes she has now outgrown and then again when I pulled out our 3T clothes and the dress from when I bought matching dresses for her and Olivia when she was a baby, now she is wearing Bella's. *sigh* why does it hurt so much for my babies to grow up. frown emoticon

9-30-15
When I walk across the playground to go home after dropping off Bella for afternoon Kindergarten, Jaden, at lunch recess, always runs up and give me a huge hug with all his friends trailing behind to wave at us. My 8 year old may grow up and be less excited to see me, but boy I'm sure loving it right now!

10-18-15
Olivia: "Look at my fossils mom." She raises her fists into the air.
Me: Your what?
O: My fossils!
Me: Your muscles?
O: Yeah my muscles fossils.
One of us is confused, since I'm not sure which one it must be me.
