April Days

In no particular order & many unedited, here's my kiddos during this month:
Finally got out the Exosaucer. Should have had it out months ago, but she's loving it now. Jaden was more than happy to teach her how to play with all the toys.
Bella wants to be a computer geek too.

Jaden watching the backhoe dig up our driveway. We had it dug up and new gravel laid down.

Kite flying!

a rare picture of me! :)

On night Jaden wanted Bella to sleep with him. We put her in his bed expecting her to cry shortly, instead they both were giggling like crazy. 10 min. later when Ryan went in to check Jaden was squished up against the side trying to sleep while Bella kept smacking him still trying to play. Ryan put Bella in her crib, but there's still no doubt that Jaden loves his little sister.

Rolling like crazy, Bella made her way to one of Jaden's sippy cups on the floor (he always has many, they seem to reproduce when I'm not looking) Bella knew just what to do with it and would giggle whenever she got water in her mouth.
Who wouldn't want to play on a new dishwasher box?

Jaden loves to line up his cars on our rock wall.

"Hello, Grandma?" A girl's gotta have her phone!

The kids love watching tv together. Her they are watching the Bee Movie. Silly TV junkies.

My bed set for Bella, the color in the photo isn't very good, but I assure you this is the most darling set EVER. I can't wait to get the wooden insects painted and finish decorating her room.
And that's most of April! Hope you all had as much fun as we did.

6 Months!

Can you believe my baby girl is 6 months old?

stats:
weight: 14lb. 4oz.
length: 25.5 in.
head: 42.7 cm

She's pretty average, which is great since Jaden was always underweight.
The doc said she is super strong and will probably be an early mover. No surprise there since Jaden was as well.
She won't sit by herself because she's too wiggly, but she rolls all over the place.
She's eating her cereal pretty good but wants to hold the spoon herself.
Her favorite thing in the world is her big brother and his toys.
she loves to lay next to Jaden and watch tv.
She smiles and giggles lots especially for Jaden & Daddy, but still is much more fussy than Jaden ever was.

I of course had to do a 6 month photoshoot with her and was excited to whip out my giant teacup. You may remember it from about 2 years ago. Here Here & Here.

This one is called "back off mom"

Pulled out a flower and FINALLY got her to smile.

Love you sooo much Bella. I can't belive how fast your growing, but I'm loving every minute of it. . . well most minutes anyway. ;)

Easter!

I love Easter! I do wish Jaden understood the purpose of Easter better, but I must say I did enjoy the whole Easter bunny part of the experience. I went a little overboard with the baskets this year.
One of the things I did was make this sensory blanket for Bella I found the tutorial here and had to try it myself. As you can see it didn't turn out completely square, and my stitches are so far from being even, But I am so proud of myself for actually sewing something all by myself. ^_^
What did Bella think? "Mommy I love it so much I just wanna hug it." hee.
Easter egg hunt time! Every year Grandma & Grandpa Yancey have a big Easter egg hunt out in the orchard. It was so much fun this year with Jaden being old enough to really understand and get excited about it. There was even a designated spot for the younger kids like him to find easier eggs without the big kids beating them to it.

"I'm ready!"
And he's off!

Jaden is an egg-spert at finding eggs. Hee.
Once he found his designated 20 eggs, it was time to reap the benefits. . . wait a minute bud, I gotta unwrap that first!

After egg hunting it was back home for general conference. I tried to pay attention best I could with the kiddos distracting me. I think I did a farely good job comparatively.
See, here's me and Bella watching conference.

I asked Jaden several times if he wanted a nap, but he refused (rather hyped up on sugar) but he finally settled into Bella's swing and slept through most of the afternoon session.

And so did Ryan. Hee.
After Conference it was time for dinner at Grandma & Grandpa Potter's.
Bella got some love from Grandma Great.
She got a big Easter duck from Grandma Potter, and laughed and laughed while we made it quack at her. *Jaden later claimed the duck as his own and now sleeps with it at night along with bunny.

Jaden spent an hour riding his bike down the ramp outside with Grandma. Kudos for Grandma for staying out there with him and pushing him back up the ramp over and over and over again.

It was a great Easter! I love being so close to family so my kids can share these great times with them. Love you all! And of course, an enormous amount of love & gratitude to our Savior for which we celebrate Easter. Because of Him we can all be together forever. Not even death can separate our wonderful family.

Easter Photoshoot

Saturday I thought it would be fun to do a little Easter shoot. I brought clover in and after brushing her put her down to have Jaden pose with her. She ran off the first two times but realized that I she stay put it was less stressful.

Jaden was more than ready to play with her.
that was until she looked like she was going to go after him.
Oh good bunny. It was ok after all.
Aw look at them both pose so perfectly.
One more good pet before she decided she was done.
Jaden already knew what these eggs were all about. Bella thought watching Jaden was fun.

And the grass in the basket of course.
Oh yes she loved the grass. I had to keep putting the camera down to make sure she didn't put any of the plastic grass in her mouth.
Okay brother, you take the eggs and I'll take this basket with plastic grass.

I tried to get some good ones of just Bella but she really wasn't in the mood. This is the best one I got.

I call this one "When the candy's all gone" Bella on the other hand is still happy just attacking that grass.

Bella's First Food

Last Friday Bella tried her first real food. A little rice cereal. I've been putting off switching her over but nearly at 6 months I figure it is time. Funny how for the first your so ready to try the next thing but with the next you'd rather them wait as long as they can. In this case I was just not looking forward to having to feed her and take care of Jaden and myself at lunch time. So far I've done pretty good feeding her while our lunch is still cooking. Anyway back to the first try. . .
hmm this stuff is funny.
Give me more!

Maybe if I lick the bottom of the spoon it'll taste different.

Okay not too bad. I'll eat it.
